Russell James Harden, III
July 17, 1955 - February 25, 2018
Gone way too soon, Russ passed away peacefully at home in his sleep at age 62. He was born and raised in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, where he worked on the railroad following in the footsteps of his grandfather. He moved to Ormond Beach when he was 21, shortly after many other family members relocated to Ormond Beach. He and his wife of 33 years, Karen Harden, were destined to meet...the two undoubtedly first crossed paths on the highway when Russ was moving to Ormond Beach from Fond du Lac and Karen was moving from Ormond Beach to Biloxi, Mississippi in 1977. But as fate would have it, Karen moved back to Ormond Beach in the early 80’s where the two met in 1983 and were married in 1984. Russ was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan his whole life and never missed a game or a chance to host a big Packer Party during the game in his Packer-decorated garage and home. His sarcastic humor was met with contagious laughter, and he made quite an impression on just about everyone he met. Russ was the co-owner of A & H Windows Plus, a business he started in 2005 with his partner, Tom Allison.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Harden, two children, Denny (Gay) Veale and Kristy (Jon) Cecil, one grandson, Ayden Veale, one sister, Sharon (Steve) Davis, one loving grandpuppy, Whiskey, and many lifelong treasured friends and their families.
