Obituary for Mary Lee Turner

Mary Lee Turner, 90, Holly Hill, died last Monday morning at her daughter's
home in Virginia, during an extended visit.

Mrs. Turner, a retired seamstress, was born in Appling County, Georgia and
was a graduate of Surrency High School, Surrency, GA. She was the second
of four daughters born to the late James Grice Lee and the late Terah Cannady Lee,
farmers in Appling County. After high school she worked in Atlanta, GA. She married
Phillip D. Turner in 1947 and they moved to Holly Hill, where she lived the remainder of her
life. Mary knew Jesus as her personal Savior and was a member of Flomich Avenue Baptist
Church, where she was involved in women's Bible studies and Sunday School.

She is predeceased by her parents, James and Terah Lee, her sister, Catherine Lee Tyre,
and her husband of 54 years, Phillip D. Turner, who died in 2001.

Survivors include: a son, Ronald Turner and his wife Joan, Deltona; daughter Anne Porter and her
husband Dave, Suffolk, VA; granddaughter, A1C Lindsey Heroux and her husband Mark, Lakewood, CO,
her grandson, Andrew Ahlgrim, Virginia Beach, VA; sisters, Gwendolyn Lee Reese of Baxley, GA and
Myrtle Lee Rich of Enfield, NH. She was also adored by many nieces and nephews and their families.

Family will receive friends at Woodward Funeral Home, located
at 167 Ridgewood Avenue, Holly Hill, FL, on Tuesday, January 22, 2019,
from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the same location with
Jerry Webb, pastor of Flomich Avenue Baptist Church, officiating.
Mrs. Turner will be laid to rest beside her husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
