Barbara A. Jennings was called to her eternal home on December 27, 2018. She was born in Troy, Ohio and attended Pleasant High School in Ohio. She attended college at North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. While attending North Central University she majored in music. She was part of the music team that traveled across the country spreading the sound of joy.
She moved to the Ormond Beach area forty-one years ago with her family. She raised a daughter that attended and graduated from Seabreeze High School. She worked for Sun Bank as the Assistant to the V.P. for one of their major branches. Her final and most exciting career extended for thirty-plus years at the 7th Judicial Court System. Her devotion to her job extended to assisting anyone that came into her office that showed the need for help. Her positive and magnetic personality knew no strangers both professionally or personally.
Her love extended beyond humans to her dogs Lady and Clifford and to all animals, new and old friends and people that just needed a shoulder to rest on. She was a brilliant and talented person that saw only good in life and she influenced everyone that she came in contact with in a positive manner.
Her joys in life were numerous. She loved her family, the outdoors, good friends and good food. She experienced the joy of traveling to Europe, to Alaska, and many of our national parks. She loved to snow ski and was fortunate enough to visit many different ski resorts around the U.S.A...
Her religious zeal always helped her throughout her life. She always took the time to inform anyone that was interested that she had a strong faith in God. His strength always guided her throughout her life and gave her much peace.
Survivors include her husband Steven Jennings, her daughters Theresa Land and Diane Brown, her brother Samuel Collett and her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please donate to your local Human Society or Hospice.
