Daughter of the late Albertine and Arthur Dore, Lorraine R. Cyr, born 5/28/33 in Lewiston, Maine, passed away November 27, 2018. They moved to Waterville, Maine where she graduated from Waterville High School in 1952. Lorraine became an LPN nurse and worked at the Thayer Hospital and then moved to New Haven, CT and worked at Yale New Haven Hospital and Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT. She married Raymond L. Cyr on July 5, 1975 and in 1991 they moved to Ormond Beach, FL. They traveled the world together and loved cruises. Lorraine also loved quilting. Even though Lorraine never had children, she was very close to her sister and brother's children. Raymond and Lorraine also loved two special children, now aged 15 and 21 Brandon and Nick Larwa whom they've treated like their own for more than 10 years. Survivors include her husband Raymond; brother John Dore and his wife Joan; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses from Florida Hospital Hospice, Dr. Rebecca Peck and Dr. McNish and her wound staff at Halifax Hospital. Memorial mass will held Thursday December 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at St Brendans Catholic Church, 1000 Ocean Shore Blvd Ormond Beach with Father Tom Barrett officiating and Deacon John Harvey giving the eulogy.
