Obituary for Marilyn G Miller

A Mass of Christian Burial for Marilyn Miller will be celebrated on Friday October 26, 2018 at 11:00 am at St Brendans Catholic Church, 1000 Ocean Shore Blvd Ormond Beach with Father Tom Barrett as celebrant. Friends wishing to cll and pay their respect may do so Thursday from 3:00 until 5:00 pm at Dale Woodward Chapel by the Sea, 1780 Ocean Shore Blvd. Ormond Beach. Marilyn was born on May 23, 1926 in Boston, MA but lived in Danbury, CT for most of her life. She graduated from Danbury High School Class of 1942 and then married Frederick N. Miller on June 1, 1946. Marilyn was a stay at home mom who still had room in her heart to care for foster children until their permanent homes were found. She returned to the workforce as a secretary at Davis and Geck/American Cyanamid. When her children were all attending school, she enrolled in St. Vincent School of Nursing in Bridgeport, CT where she graduated in 1963. She was employed by Silver Hill Foundation in New Canaan, CT until her retirement in 1988. They moved to Mexia, TX and in 2000 they moved to Ormond By the Sea, FL. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years.
Marilyn is survived by four children, Marilyn Sniffin Tomlinson (Timothy), Terry Ellen Bourque (Robert), Roger Miller (Ruane) and Glenn Miller; two brothers Vincent Gavagan (Eleanor) and Roger Gavagan; a sister Ona May Hancock; grandchildren, Michael, Heather, Shawn and Shannon Sniffin of CT and Lauren Morse of NH; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
