John W. Gerback, Sr., beloved husband of 57 years, to Gloria (Wilcox) Gerback passed away October 7,2018. A celebration of John’s life will take place on November 10th at 1:00 at St. James Episcopal Church. 38 S. Halifax Drive, Ormond Beach, FL.

John was born June 20,1942 in Danbury, CT, to the late Wesley and Elizabeth Gerback. He worked for Risdon Corporation for 44 years. John and Gloria followed their dream and retired to Ormond Beach, Florida in 2005 where they met many cherished friends and created lasting memories. They also traveled to many wonderful places throughout the United States and Europe to fulfill more of their retirement dreams.

John was a huge sports fan, but his two beloved teams were the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He also enjoyed playing golf, bowling, antique cars shows, movies and gardening.

John loved to entertain his grand children through Easter egg hunts, pumpkin picking, watching movies and spoiling them endlessly! He will be missed!

John leaves behind not only his wife Gloria, his sister, Sharon Arenz (husband, David), three children: John Gerback, Jr., Jeanine Chau (husband, Alberto) and Michael Gerback (wife, Linda). He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, step-grand children, one great grand daughter and a very special brother-in-law. He was predeceased by two sisters: Irene Weiss and Joan Marasco and one brother Leonard Gerback.
