Obituary for Margaret Beattie

Margaret Beattie
Beattie, Margaret M.

A Graveside service for Margaret M. Beattie, 92, Atlantic Ave. Daytona Beach, who went to be with Our Lord August 13, 2018, will be held Friday 11:00 am at Greenwood Cemetery with Chaplain Leslie Avchin officiating. A native of Brooklyn, New York, Margaret worked for the Otis Elevator Company as an executive secretary. She and her husband, moved to this area in the mid 1980’s. They became members of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Margaret and her husband loved to travel, spend time with family and entertain. She enjoyed music, especially Big Band music. Margaret was the kind of person everyone wants to be around. She was very spiritual, with a great sense of humor and always saw the glass as half full. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene in 2014. Survivors include her brother, Robert Nakushian and his wife, Janet, Palm Beach; many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends. The family wishes to extend heart felt thanks to some special caregivers, Dawna, Angie, Lyndel and Sheena. In lieu of other remembrances the family suggests donations be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 201 University Blvd. Daytona Beach, FL 32118.
