Hoke Stephens Johnson, Jr.

Hoke Stephens Johnson Jr. passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018 at his home in Ormond Beach, FL at the age of 90 with his family by his side. He was born to Hoke and Edith Johnson on June 1, 1928 in Daytona Beach, FL. He graduated from Mainland High School and the University of Florida with a degree in Pharmacy where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was also a Life Member of the Florida Pharmacy Association. He served in the U.S. Army and was a long time member of the local Power Squadron. He was also a Life member of the Obedience Club of Daytona where he enjoyed training his poodles and served as Treasurer for many years. He enjoyed RV trips across the U.S., especially out west. In his later years, he enjoyed taking Spanish classes and playing cards at the Ormond Senior Center. He was also an active member of the South Daytona Model Yacht Club and enjoyed sailing his remote control sailboats. He owned and operated Hoke's Pharmacy in Holly Hill for 20 years. He is survived by his loving wife Renee of 26 years and her daughter Pam Hogeback and husband Derrick, son Hoke Johnson III and wife Nidia, daughter Kathy Nicastro and husband Tim. Also, his sister Judy Whitwer, 3 grandsons, TJ Nicastro and his wife Carleen, Keatan Nicastro and Ben Johnson.
