A Memorial Mass for Mark Joseph Castle, 69, of Ormond Beach, who went to be with our Lord June 22, 2018, will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 am at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church, 1000 Oceanshore Blvd., Ormond Beach with Father James Queen as celebrant. Friends wishing to call and pay their respects may do so at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. A native of Detroit, Michigan, Mark received degrees from Lawrence Institute, the University of Michigan, and the University of Pennsylvania. He and his family moved to this area 25 years ago while he was working for G.E. Mark went on to become a Program Manager for Lockheed Martin, retiring in 2013. After recovering from his first stroke, Mark took up yoga. He enjoyed it so much, he decided to become a yogi in 2016. Over the past several years, he has been teaching and learning with others at Platinum Fitness, Yoga Circle, and RWB. Mark also enjoyed gardening, walks on the beach, and had a true passion for Jazz. In lieu of other remembrances the family suggests donations be made in memory of Mark to St. Brendan Church Christmas Toy Drive. Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Christine; a daughter, Eileen Marie Castle, Alexandria, VA; a son, Robert Joseph Castle, Atlanta, GA; 4 brothers, Michael, Dan, Tim, and Gerry and 3 sisters, Kathy DonCarlo, Mary Jo Martinek, and Peggy Castle.
