The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Miriam Thiems can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolences

Condolence From: Howard & Cheryl Pranikoff
Condolence: Dear Suzi,
We were so sorry to learn of the passing of your mother. We can truly empathize with your feelings at this time, as you may know, having lost my wonderful younger sister, Elaine, from oral cancer 9 years ago and my parents & Cheryl's mother, also, in the past several years as well. I am sure our parents knew each other, as they followed similar paths working at GE in Syracuse and being transferred to Daytona Beach.

Your mother can be with you always in your memory. I am sure she was a great lady and a great Mom. Look how you turned out!! Do not let a day go by without thinking of her.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. We know you will be comforted by your family and close nearby friends up home & certainly here in Ormond Beach. We hope these days of mourning will go easy for you. Cheryl & I offer our most sincere condolences to you and your family and we hope you can find solace in this difficult time.

Condolence: Mrs. Thiems was my Spanish teacher at Mainland.
she was an exceptional teacher who poured out her love for the Spanish language as well as the students in her class.
Ever so encouraging to me in my struggles with this class, she would inspire me to press on. God bless you , MS. Thiems. Adios!

Condolence: Dear Thiems Family,
I taught at Mainland High School (in the English Department) for 12 years with your mother. I remember her fondly as an excellent teacher, greatly loved and respected by her students and colleagues! She touched many lives in her career, and we are all better people for having known Miriam.

Please know how sorry I am to hear of her passing but find comfort in knowing that she left an indelible mark on countless students during her time at Mainland.

RIP, Miriam!
